Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from a Jewish origin. She also has a half-sister, Sunyata Jubal.
