Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. From Broadway to European festival and clubs, Avery Sunshine has been a hit everywhere. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by singing and playing the piano in the church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B music scene. Since then, it has been remixed and a component of her set. Her voice has also been a part of vocals on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine came to national interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
